d.a.d.o. is a New York City-based latin rock band, that was started in October
1997. Our music is the result of combining latin rhythms, such as: bachata, salsa, merengue,
cumbia, Andean music, samba and mambo with punk, ska, reggae, funk and rock. d.a.d.o.
stands for "donde algunos decidieron olvidar" which translates as "where some decided
to forget". This is the philosophy we live by, and our approach towards our music. In our
rhythms, one can see the reflection of our different cultural backgrounds. Antonio is from
Argentina, Hector and Fabian are from Ecuador, Luciana is from Cuba, and Robert is from the
Dominican Republic. |
